Day Sixty

Today's words:
Daisy
Box
Vase
Spy
Handbag
Arithmetic

Daisy
Wrapped the box
In gift paper and put it on the table by the vase.
"Time to go spy
"On the neighbors," she thought, picking up her handbag.
"We'll see if my arithmetic

"Is correct." It's simple arithmetic,
Really. Daisy
Gathered up her handbag
And the box
And went out to spy.
Her neighbor had a vase

Of flowers on the table. Next to the vase
Was an arithmetic
Primer. Ever the spy,
Daisy
Handed her neighbor the box
And opened her handbag.

She took her phone out of her handbag
And placed it near the vase
As her neighbor opened the box.
"Arithmetic
"For All," she exclaimed. "Daisy,
"You're a gem!" But her phone continued to spy

On them. She'd turned the recorder on, to spy
On their conversation, when she'd removed it from her handbag.
The daisy
In the vase
Was really a camera. Her neighbor put the arithmetic
Book back in the box

And put the box
On the table. It's not hard to spy
On someone these days. The arithmetic
Is easy. Next out of her handbag
She took a small microphone and stuck it on the vase
Unobtrusively. Daisy

Left the box and picked up her handbag,
Leaving the spy camera and microphone on the vase
"By my arithmetic I'll have what I need in a week," thought Daisy.
